It has been a nightmare. They were told no one would be at the pick up in Palm Desert as we had to leave due to Covid-19. We arranged for them to have a written list of what the movers were to take and a person to be there to let them in.
They arrived without the list and then when a stranger came in pretending to be incharge, (They were given the name of the Only person to be there.) Started to tell them what stayed etc. They became upset. Only after the person left did my person who let them in contacted me, o tell me what when on. I asked to speak to the mover incharge. His name was [name removed by Sirelo]. I went through everything that happened and then had him go through each room as I instructed him on what to take and what not to take.
When the goods arrived the Bill was $2,800 US more than originally quoted on and many of the items were missing from both the list given and from our telephone conversation. Instead we received a lot of garbage that was to be thrown.. Read more

This company was phenomenal with the difficulties of our international move in the midst of a pandemic. We felt in great hands all the way along.

An absolute **** show of a company. Save yourself the time and money and look elsewhere for movers.

I moved from Vancouver to Quebec. Initial time estimate was 2-3 weeks. Two weeks passed by without a word from them, I called and they informed me I would receive a call within a few days to get the new delivery estimate. After an entire week, I called again and was given the same exact response. I proceeded to call again everyday for 4 days only to be told that the van was in Toronto (for over a week?).

The calls were all over the place. Nobody was taking responsibility, nobody was giving me any concrete details about my items. Dispatch was extremely rude and provided no help whatsoever. Half the time I was thinking my items were actually stolen.

Eventually I stopped calling and informed them that I would need a 48 hour notice to comply with the building's code. Meanwhile I had to book a room and pay extra $500 for the 2 extra weeks they took. After yet another week I called (I.. Read more

Recommendation

movers showed up on time as we agreed upon. They asked me right questions to figure out the needs for the move. Price was reasonable and customer service was more than expected from a mover. Recommend them others.

Pros and cons
professional sales team

The staff was not in house. As a matter of fact, the team that was used in Los Angeles was the same one that we had with a different moving company when we originally moved FROM California two years ago. They charged us a separate fee of $1000 because they informed us that their truck was their own and they do NOT work for Trans Canada. If we did not pay them, they refused to deliver our belongings to our house even though our quote was for door to door service. Total price that we paid for a three bedroom house was $13680 US. The movers arrived three days prior to our lease move in date and 11 days prior to the ETA. When I called to ask Trans Canada for an update on when our belongings would arrive, I was told that I should call after July 15th because it was pithing the ETA. They did not know where the truck was and if it was still in Montreal, I was told they would just leave my things there. A different company called me a day later to give me 24 hours notice that the drive.. Read more

Pros and cons
Team in Montreal was professional.
Original quote was competitive amongst other companies.
Team in Los Angeles was in a rush to leave, completed an eight hour job in a few hours and tried to leave ether own personal packing materials for me to dispose of for them.
Team in Los Angeles charged an additional $1000 to bring my belongings to my house. Little care was taken once delivered, no reassembly was completed.
Moved from Westmount East (Canada) to Los Angeles (United States).

Recommendation

Pros and cons

They provided me the total charged, then both parties agreed. When it comes to the date they came pick-up the household items, all my household items were packed in the boxes, and the movers put some of my boxed in 3 bigger boxes, and charged me again for extra $110 on top of the total costs the office had provided me. I think that is dishonest and cheating!

Pros and cons
Ok
but charge extra during final pick-up
Moved from Calgary (Canada) to Chicago (United States).

They were very good movers. Polite and efficient. Our biggest challenge was setting the move in date. We were only notified the day before the movers arrived.

We received a reasonable quote and booked the move. It took several weeks to finally secure a pick up and drop off date. We elected to pack ourselves with large furniture items to be blanket wrapped by the movers (included in price). When the movers arrived they did a good job but kept saying ‘oh, this is extra, that is extra’. In the end I negotiated an extra $300 of materials but the ask was for over $1,000. Additionally, they wanted me to sign a form committing me to costs for delivery that would have totalled over $1,750 when they quoted me a fixed fee of $500. In the end they honoured the original price but it was serious stress I didn’t need. Finally, the day before move in Day I received a call from the movers to advise me that the move in would now be delayed by three days. As it turned out it had never been committed for the day I’d been told. I did get a $500 discount for the mess up but incurred an additional accommodation and meal cost in excess of $1,000. All in all a MESS.. Read more

Pros and cons
Reasonable pricing
Poor communication
Dishonest business practices
