They had the best price and promised and delivered a quick move just before Christmas! The representative was friendly, courteous, and helpful.

This has been a terrible experience. They never respond or return calls after you paid. Never received an email of confirmation. There were several hidden fees! Plus, they were not transparent with their information. This entire experience has cost me so much more (almost double what was paid to ship). DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM ALL!!!

The worst possible experience we could have had. After picking up our items on December 5 and clarifying multiple times with Globabl that the goods had to be delivered between Dec 27-30, and being assured that it was no problem, we had to call AMS Movers on December 31 to find out where our stuff was only to find the office was closed. On January 2 when we were finally able to get hold of someone, we were told our items had not left their facility in Canada due to 'holidays, bad weather, blown circuit breakers, truck breakdown etc etc' and then being screamed at by Bob (supposedly the owner of AMS) that it wasn't his fault and 'did I think I was the only person who had this problem'. We were also lied to by Global when I contacted them on December 31 and they told me our items were already on a truck and in the US only to find out on January 2 the truck hadn't even left. I would never, ever recommend either of these companies to anyone. Oh...and they insisted on full payment, up front, prior to moving the shipment. Lesson learned. Paper work is missing for me receive my goods I have been waiting over 3 weeks with no furniture while the container sits in storage 20 mins from my home

Initial prompt and detailed quote, however, actual price far exceeded quote and communication during shipping was sporadic at best. Shipment took twice as long to arrive than quoted (although delay partially due to hurricanes) yet it was extremely difficult to reach Global for status updates. (Voicemails all full and only occasional response to phone calls or emails). The additional costs to clear customs were ridiculous and when the container finally arrived, it was dropped in our lane way and left for us to unpack ourselves (although we had paid for it to be unpacked and brought into the house). Also, the container doors were padlocked but no one had a key so we had to pay a local to cut the lock and help us unpack. On a positive note, our items were well packed and tied down so thankfully everything was intact and undamaged. All in all, we would have been better off simply buying everything we shipped down here as the moving costs far exceeded the value of the items we shipped and the aggravation was totally not worth it.Lire la suite
