The workers were very professional . Very organized and worked really well together. They were very efficient. They were very polite and careful when handling furniture. Nothing was damaged. I was very pleased with the service and I would highly recommend them to friends and family.

My experience with Grand River Moving was a nightmare. They promise you the moon and deliver sewage. Called over a month in advance to book the movers and I even booked them a day early just in case there were any glitches. They showed up 4 hours late, two men and two trucks fewer than promised. The workers that day were ok, but had no regard for my timeline or actual booking. Payment was demanded after every little job they succeeded in doing. They finally managed to deliver approximately one-thirteeth of my possessions, after stopping somewhere for drinks. I waited 50 minutes until they arrived at the destination where they held my belongings hostage until I produced my credit card. After unloading, they promised me they'd come early the next day to do the actual move. I waited and waited. No one came. They recognized my number and refused to answer my calls. I know this to be true because when my paralegal called, they answered immediately. I was contractually obligated to vacate the premises and Grand River Moving refused to show up. No calls, no apologies, no explanation. The manager is a hothead and the secretary will lie without hesitation. They made sure they had their money but they left me in the worst possible position one could imagine. Dealing with these clowns was a costly and painful mistake. Many of the glowing reviews at their website were written by their staff, friends and family, as I now recognize their names. Their behavior is unconscionable, rude and dismissive, and the responses to negative reviews at their site will confirm this. There are many other, legitimate and competent movers out there, don't waste your time, money and sanity on these hucksters.Read more

After paying for the movers accommodations so they would be closer to the move out location they were 2.5 hours late and had NO EXCUSEs or even an apology. They were rude to the 80yr old who hired them.
They were rude, complained about everything, asked for food, did not bring the few boxes that were specifically requested and my neighbours had to help so we could meet the deadline to be finished. The truck was so poorly packed that everything was a mess by the time they drove 2.5hrs on the highway.
Wish I could show photos!!!!

I absolutely would not recommend this company at this time. I had a noon appt booked, and due to possible unforeseen circumstances, they did not show up. After multiple follow up phone calls, and texts it was determined they were going to be 4 hours late. Unfortunately my new condo has to have elevator times booked in advance, so we had to reschedule. I managed to secure a new move time, but it was 2 days later than the original. Now, thankfully I didn't have to be out of my house on the original move day, but I did have to eat take out for 2 days and sleep on the couch.

[Name removed by Sirelo] was the one saving grace in all this. I truly believe he tried his best to get me moved as soon as possible. He was helpful, polite and worked for me rather than against me. The movers themselves, [names removed by Sirelo] were exceptional ! They worked hard and fast and were super polite & fun. I'd have preferred they wore masks, and I did have to supply masks for them.

But other than that, they at least understood the crazy circumstances surrounding my move and worked hard to make sure it happened. I think the most frustrating thing, was the lack of communication. I understand busy, but the customer shouldn't have to continue to reach out to find out where the movers are, they should be updated if there will be any lengthy delays. Afterwards I did reach out to the company, and they agreed to offer some financial compensation, which was appreciated. So perhaps you can work off the other positive reviews, which is what I did when I chose them, and formulate your own opinion.

*** Follow up one week later, and I'm still waiting for the compensation. As I've mentioned, their communication is seriously lacking, so I've emailed 3 times to ask when the refund will happen and if they need my credit card information again to process. THIS is part of the response I got back..... 'Understand that the end of month and beginning of the month are the BUSIEST times for us. These things get processed within 3-5 days however seeing as you seem to be impatient please send your email and I will e transfer'

Did you just call me impatient ?? No, Impatient would have been during the 4 hours you left me hanging with no call to tell me where my movers were !!! Wow, just wow.**

* Next follow up.... after 4 more emails I was told, and I quote (this is their email) 'Leave us alone. If you weren't so ignorant you would have already been reimbursed as it was purely a favor from us for the inconvenience. Not something covered by insurance therefore we were/are in no way obligated. You've now lost the opportunity by being so incredibly disrespectful. It's advisable that in a future situation similar to this, you shall say thank you and leave it at that.' Well thank you [name removed by Sirelo] for telling me what I SHALL do.

* PPS They are now calling me a liar, even though I have posted the emails, I am still pursuing action. I have posted their own emails, verbatim and it clearly shows their complete lack of respect for their customers * DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!! they will treat you like garbage, and then say they are amazing and you are the liar !!
